Botulinumtoxin / Botox is an active substance based on a naturally occurring
bacterial protein.
Botox has been increasingly used in aesthetic and plastic surgery as
agent for wrinkle correction and smoothing of facial wrinkles. Injecting
botox under the wrinkle paralyses the muscle responsible for the development
of wrinkles.
The art of achieving an ideal (natural) result of this smoothing of wrinkles
consists in ensuring the correct dosing and placing of botolinum toxin
/ botox. Only a plastic aesthetic surgeon having many years of experience
can ensure this and therefore this is recommended.
Repeated injections of botox slow down the development of wrinkles and
thus the method is excellently suitable for smoothing wrinkles in the
area of frown lines, glabellar lines, eye wrinkles (crows feet)
as well as neck and cleavage wrinkles.
The desired success becomes visible seven to ten days after the botox
treatment.
The patient will be presentable in public immediately after the injection
of botox.
