In the view of a face from the front, but particulary at the profile
view, a preceding or receding chin often seems disturbing and unharmonious.
In the case of a preceding chin the surgery is carried out at the chin
bone.
In the case of a receding chin transplants in the form of endogenous
substances (bone and cartilage) or formed implant cushions are inserted.
The cuts proceed respectively at the inside of the lip or below the
chin.
The remaining cicatrice is not visible or very unobtrusive.
